Please call us to discuss your requirements. We are happy to work in with you where we can on departure and return times.
Our Terms and conditions
By making a booking you acknowledge that you have read our terms and conditions and agree with them. Knowing what is expected and abiding by these rules is vital in any fishing trip. Please help us keep you all safe by adhering to these rules and listening to some basic instructions given by the skipper. You must follow the skippers instructions at all times while onboard. Our primary concern is for your safety, and you must comply with any instructions from the skipper immediately and without argument.
Customers are expected to show due care and respect to the facilities and hire equipment. Damage or loss by careless use may be charged to the hirer for replacement cost.
Tauranga Marine Charters and any employee thereof are not responsible for any personal loss or injury incurred by passengers while onboard the vessel.
Fishing productivity will be affected if customers supply sub-standard bait / tackle / rods etc. We are happy to make recommendations for the above, or we can supply the equipment and bait. Additional charges apply.
Please also be aware that we have a deckhand on board. Our deckhands will be fishing.
BOOKING A PRIVATE CHARTER
All prices include GST.
A deposit of $500.00 is required to confirm a booking. A non-confirmed booking may be booked over by another party.
Payment for the trip and any gear hireage, as well as any bait required, is due the day prior once we have confirmed the weather forecast permits us to depart.
Please choose your date carefully before you make a booking. Please note that once you are booked in, all other potential customers are turned down and if cancelled by you for what ever reason puts our booking system out of place.
The exception to this is when we have less than 10 passengers booked for a public day and a party books a private charter. We will take a private charter over 10 individuals.
All departures are subject to weather.
Cancellation is at the discretion of the vessels skipper.
In the event of a cancellation before the start of the trip (on the day of the trip) due to weather conditions all passengers are entitled to a full refund if they cannot reschedule to an alternative date.
If a private charter is cancelled by the skipper (on the day of the trip) due to weather or mechanical problems and is unable to rebook, the deposit paid is 100% refundable.
If the trip is called off by the skipper due to adverse weather, another suitable date will be arranged by mutual agreement, if there are no suitable dates available, deposit will be refunded.
If a confirmed booking is cancelled by the customer less than 2 weeks prior to the trip date, the deposit will not be refunded.
Trips cancelled 5 days prior to the scheduled time of the trip would incur full payment of the trip for which it was booked. Outstanding balances will have to be paid in full.
Alcohol and Smoking
We also reserve the right to refuse anyone on board who arrives in an intoxicated state. No refund will be given.
Smoking is permitted on board, as long as its not causing a nuisance to other passengers. No smoking downstairs.
A reasonable amount of alcohol is permitted to come on board. No spirits. Passengers are not permitted to be intoxicated.
Confirming a booking is deemed as acknowledgement and agreement to ALL "Terms and Conditions" by ALL members of the charter group. This is the responsibility of the charter organiser to advise all members of the party of these Terms and Conditions.
Not withstanding anything else expressed or implied in these terms and except where a statute requires otherwise, Tauranga Marine Charters shall not be liable whether in contract, tort or otherwise for:
(a) any injury to persons or damage to property; or
(b) any direct, indirect, consequential, financial or economic loss or damage to property arising out of any act or omission of any staff member of Tauranga Marine Charters
On booking with Tauranga Marine Charters the Customer shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these terms, conditions and policies.
If booking through a third party, these terms and conditions still stand.
