Another few days of reef fishing trips, with the usual mix of results.
We’ve stuck with the offshore fishing, as in closer hasn’t improved and at least the better days are good out further.
The Pinns were off on Thursday so it was out to Mayor, where it fired well around Tuhua, nice tarakihi, and some excellent trevally.
Friday at the Pinns was similar, not much sign and conditions were odd. Tuhua was too, weird sign on the sounder, missing our anchor marks, fish off the bite. Some combination of opposing currents perhaps, Friday night and Saturday morning certainly cut up rough too.
Sunday was a different ocean, big schools of dolphin towards Mayor, gannets working amongst them and several other pods reported inside Motiti. A lot more sea life and action generally.
Fishing was ok, and the sign looked better than it has for some time. All in all a positive day and looking good for December.
Hi Daphne ,
Please thank Brett for a great trip the other day
We didn’t get on to the Kingi’s on this occasion but we do appreciate the conditions were against us and we know Brett did everything possible . Still, everyone got plenty of fillets to take home and we thoroughly enjoyed the day
You will see us again and we will recommend you
