We had a busy week, with 3 days taking out students and teachers from Tauranga Boys College. Monday  we worked around the middle ground for not much, but got onto some tarakihi at  Pudney. Tuesday we started at Pudney, only to find there wasn’t a lot happening there this time either. Our final trip was Thursday and after another slow start we ended up doing well inside Motiti, a pleasing finish for the group, who stayed keen and ended up with a good result.

We took a tramping group to  Mayor on Wednesday, picking them up on Friday after fishing our way out Mayor.

The Pinnacles were very slow, but the Garden Patch ticked along quite well and the trampers had good calm trips both ways, good all round.

Saturday was another nice day, although another slow one with the fishing,  frustrating, but hard to do much about, hopefully the Easterly that blew in on Sunday with stir them up a bit.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  • Thank you for a great day yesterday. The trip was a surprise getaway for Robs 60th birthday and none of us had done a charter trip before nor can we fish for Terakihi as snapper, trevally and kingfish are target species in the Coromandel.

    A most enjoyable day

Every one passes on thier thanks, and wishes you the best for the season.

Brett & the Manutere, well i must say that over the last 8 years or more i have been out on day & overnight trips plus the TGA game fishing one base & charter tournaments  with Brett, you would be hard pushed to find a better skipper who will do his upmost to put you on the fish !!! & i mean go the extra mile !! literally, always good for a yarn, (fishing, politics, rugby etc etc,) & not forgetting the overnight trips tradditional continental breakfast, beans, eggs, bacon, toast, & a wicked coffee !

The Manutere is a solid fishing platform of which i have spent many enjoyable hours aboard, and hope to spend many more !!!!

Cheers Brett, till next time ! (soon)
