We gave the Pinnacles a look, the first in some time

After a couple of slower days around the Motiti area, we gave the Pinnacles a look, the first in some time.

There was some current running, not a good sign, and the fishing reflected it. We did catch fish, mainly tarakihi and some small snapper, but eventually gave it away and moved in a bit closer and had a  short hit of tarakihi which topped  up the tallies.

Not enough to repeat though. So back to Motiti on Saturday. Tried a few marks inside the island for nothing much, but outside was a lot better, so in conjunction with having a pod  of dolphins escort us out and nice settled weather, a good trip.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  • Just a quick email to thank you for a nice fishing trip today. Very enjoyable. Weather was kind to us and everyone caught fish.

Hopefully will return to the Mount again next year, in which case I will check you out for another trip.

    Regards

  • Hi, Brett,

Just wanted to say, on behalf of the House of Travel Boys , a big thanks to you and your deckie for such a great time.  The boys loved every minute of it, oh, I guess, apart from the few chunderers the first nite.  I know we’ll certainly recommend your charters to others who are interested in a great day out.  The boys got 2 bags of fish each to take home, which was a bonus.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers

  • Good afternoon Brett,

Thanks for the memorable trip on Tuesday. This was a great experience once again and i have picked up some more tips which i can carry forward, your knowledge is extensive and you don\'t mind passing this on. Not only was the fishing great but i meet new people and have been lucky to share this experience with them. Even Kent the visitor from Australia enjoyed himself and the chilly bins were full of beautiful Terakihi which all the families have enjoyed eating.

I look forward to joining you again very soon on the boat on another trip.

    Thanks again till then. Theo
