We got a few days in last week, with varying degrees of success, mainly due to bigger currents than we’ve seen for a while.
Monday was good, fishing inside and outside Brewis and the Lab, where we tried again Tuesday, but things were a bit slower with the current running hard and not much sign.
Friday had a lot of Westerly wind, so we worked our way to Papamoa and Town Pt for mainly steady fishing, with a mixture of snapper and tarakihi, and had a good bite later in the day to top things off. Saturday was similar with good conditions and a happy crew.
There is a bit more happening in the shallower water, although the combination of strong W and SW winds and the very big tides courtesy of the supermoon all have their effect on the situation.

This was a trip to remember , the company, fishing , and the way we were looked after was second to none . and I have done a lot of trips ,
I would like to thank You Brett and your Son Ben , Ben was an AWESOME deck hand , we didn’t need to do anything but fish and no matter where you took us there was fish there ,
The jigging for Kingi’s was un-real most of us have never seen this done , only on TV , but to do Jigging, hell yes it was fun.
Once again Brett thank you and son Ben for a trip that we will talk about for a long time

They had a great time and a special thanks to Brett for making the day so enjoyable for them!!! Jordan has not stopped talking about his day out fishing and has been proudly showing the photos of his day to everyone he comes into contact with!! They would love to go out again next year if we return to the BOP if Brett would have them on board again!!

What more can I say but once again simply magic mate, The Northpower Rotorua boy’s head back inland with a bounty of fresh fish and memories worthy of a book.
We have utilised your services on a few occasions and each time has been memorable taking home more than our fair share of fish, but this trip was exceptional.
I have been charter fishing with various parties and skippers but never have I been on an overnighter to Mayor and been home by 1130am with six plus hours of fishing left and chilly bins full of Snapper and Tarakihi, needless to say you had 10 very happy Northpower fisho's.
Cheers to Ben and Wade for their assistance, and for creating a little healthy competition amongst us, and for putting up with Les and his goofy photo poses all good fun mate, what a fantastic trip.
In fishing terms Brett you’re all keepers that more than measure up, look forward to the next trip or ten.
