A bit nastier weather last week forced us to can our Thursday trip, but it came right in time toget a 24hour trip on Friday /Saturday.
A good trip it too, with a total of 7 kingfish caught, between 10 and 20 kg. The bottom fishing was also productive with a good mix of species, snapper, golden snapper tarakihi, maomao, and a few porae. A couple of barracuda and a mako weren’t quite so welcome but kept the interest up.
We were keen to get the Sunday in as well, but torrential rain at the Marina before we left and a rain radar forecast showing rain all day persuaded me to pull the pin.
That bit us, it stopped raining about 8.30 and was lovely and calm all day.
When the Metservice get it wrong, there’s no half measures…….
Hi Brett,
This was a trip to remember , the company, fishing , and the way we were looked after was second to none . and I have done a lot of trips ,
I would like to thank You Brett and your Son Ben , Ben was an AWESOME deck hand , we didn’t need to do anything but fish and no matter where you took us there was fish there ,
The jigging for Kingi’s was un-real most of us have never seen this done , only on TV , but to do Jigging, hell yes it was fun.
Once again Brett thank you and son Ben for a trip that we will talk about for a long time
This is from the… BPT pig hunting Whanau
