Still plenty of unsettled weather around, but we did get a couple of days in .
Tried a couple of spots in close for nothing to speak of, so we ended up in the deeper water again.
It was a pretty good workout both days, but the fishing was good enough that we persisted with it.
Normally, we’d be seeing them in a bit closer at this time of year, but it’s been a while since the weather could be classed as normal.
Possibly this is the new normal. I hope not, really, but there’s not a lot to do but hang in there.

Brett & the Manutere, well i must say that over the last 8 years or more i have been out on day & overnight trips plus the TGA game fishing one base & charter tournaments with Brett, you would be hard pushed to find a better skipper who will do his upmost to put you on the fish !!! & i mean go the extra mile !! literally, always good for a yarn, (fishing, politics, rugby etc etc,) & not forgetting the overnight trips tradditional continental breakfast, beans, eggs, bacon, toast, & a wicked coffee !
The Manutere is a solid fishing platform of which i have spent many enjoyable hours aboard, and hope to spend many more !!!!
Cheers Brett, till next time ! (soon)

Hi there my name is Phil,
you took a group of my best mates and I out on Saturday 24th of November 2012 for my stag do.
I couldnt thank Brett and the deckhand enough for such a fun and memorable experience. Even though fishing was supposed to be slow then and some of the guys werent keen fishermen everyone pulled in a few and had an awesome time.
Would highly recommend TMC to my friends and family and will be booking for future trips with you.
Big THANKS from Phillip, Kaye and the boys from Pukekohe.
Thanks Brett for taking us out yesterday, most had a great day especially Peter who caught the big king fish.
