A good start to the week, with a couple of reef trips around Motiti with good results. We’re still not finding much in the shallower water, but around the 50/60m has picked up, they do take a bit of finding sometimes though.
Wednesday we had a pickup from Mayor, and stopped at the Pinns on the way, also some good fishing, snapper as well as tarakihi, with delightful barracuda to balance things up.
The wind picked up and while Saturday was good, Sunday was just too much. We had a few caught around Karewa, but pulled the pin early, it is supposed to be enjoyable, not an endurance test.
Hi, Brett,
Just wanted to say, on behalf of the House of Travel Boys , a big thanks to you and your deckie for such a great time. The boys loved every minute of it, oh, I guess, apart from the few chunderers the first nite. I know we’ll certainly recommend your charters to others who are interested in a great day out. The boys got 2 bags of fish each to take home, which was a bonus.
Thanks again.
Cheers
Paul

Brett & the Manutere, well i must say that over the last 8 years or more i have been out on day & overnight trips plus the TGA game fishing one base & charter tournaments with Brett, you would be hard pushed to find a better skipper who will do his upmost to put you on the fish !!! & i mean go the extra mile !! literally, always good for a yarn, (fishing, politics, rugby etc etc,) & not forgetting the overnight trips tradditional continental breakfast, beans, eggs, bacon, toast, & a wicked coffee !
The Manutere is a solid fishing platform of which i have spent many enjoyable hours aboard, and hope to spend many more !!!!
Cheers Brett, till next time ! (soon)
