A couple of beautiful calm days last weekend and quite good fishing as well.
We fished around the Labe on Saturday for mainly tarakihi, with a few quite nice snapper in the mix as well. Had to do a bit of resetting, as the breeze was just enough to swing us around as it varied from SW to NW, causing the odd tangle, but good fishers and the right gear[decent weight sinkers] minimised the issue.
Sunday we did a day Hapuku trip. No Hapuku, but reasonable gemfish and bluenose caught, and a big increase in dolphins, shearwaters and jellyfish all point to the warmer waters starting to move in. Good to see.
Hi Brett,
This was a trip to remember , the company, fishing , and the way we were looked after was second to none . and I have done a lot of trips ,
I would like to thank You Brett and your Son Ben , Ben was an AWESOME deck hand , we didn’t need to do anything but fish and no matter where you took us there was fish there ,
The jigging for Kingi’s was un-real most of us have never seen this done , only on TV , but to do Jigging, hell yes it was fun.
Once again Brett thank you and son Ben for a trip that we will talk about for a long time
This is from the… BPT pig hunting Whanau
Cheers

Thank you for a great day yesterday. The trip was a surprise getaway for Robs 60th birthday and none of us had done a charter trip before nor can we fish for Terakihi as snapper, trevally and kingfish are target species in the Coromandel.
A most enjoyable day
