We had an overnighter Friday/Saturday, the wind had eased and not a bad forecast, but with more swell running than we’d expected once we got out to Mayor.
The evening fishing was ok, 1 decent kingy, some snapper and tarakihi and quite a lot of jack mackeral, so no shortage of bait.
Saturday was steady, nothing really exciting, but the day was nice, the swell dropped away, all in all a good trip.
Sunday we tried the Pinns, but they were a bit off , and we ended up doing better in the shallower water, with snapper and tarakihi coming up.
Quite a lot of smaller fish among them, but plenty of keepers as well.
Thanks for a fabulous day on the water. Just ate some great fish and washed it down with nz Pinot.

What more can I say but once again simply magic mate, The Northpower Rotorua boy’s head back inland with a bounty of fresh fish and memories worthy of a book.
We have utilised your services on a few occasions and each time has been memorable taking home more than our fair share of fish, but this trip was exceptional.
I have been charter fishing with various parties and skippers but never have I been on an overnighter to Mayor and been home by 1130am with six plus hours of fishing left and chilly bins full of Snapper and Tarakihi, needless to say you had 10 very happy Northpower fisho's.
Cheers to Ben and Wade for their assistance, and for creating a little healthy competition amongst us, and for putting up with Les and his goofy photo poses all good fun mate, what a fantastic trip.
In fishing terms Brett you’re all keepers that more than measure up, look forward to the next trip or ten.
Kindest Regards
The Northpower Rotorua Boys
Thank you for a great day yesterday. The trip was a surprise getaway for Robs 60th birthday and none of us had done a charter trip before nor can we fish for Terakihi as snapper, trevally and kingfish are target species in the Coromandel.
A most enjoyable day
Regards
