October and  November seem to have switched this year, with October warmer and more settled than normal, November less so.

Still, we’re getting the weekends in, and it’s been reasonable fishing, although the dolphins and schools of kahawai haven’t been as prevalent as previously.

It’s hard to say what sort of weather pattern we’ll be seeing this summer, at present it looks more like a La Ninya pattern, warm, muggy and predominately N/N.E. winds, generally good fishing, but we’ll find out in due course.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  • Hi there Brett, just a quick thank you for the lovely fishing trip we had today.

Myself my wife and parents had a fantastic time.

It may have been a bit choppy today but luckily my family didn't supply any extra burley and really enjoyed the trip. We have about 2kgs of Terakihi filets in the fridge which we look forward to enjoying tomorrow.

After trying different charter boats I have found Tauranga Marine Charters by far the best.

We really appreciate you helping and guiding my wife and parents who are first time fishers to get set up and get onto some fish.

Looking forward to doing it again sometime.

    Many thanks
    Aaron

  • What more can I say but once again simply magic mate, The Northpower Rotorua boy’s head back inland with a bounty of fresh fish and memories worthy of a book.

We have utilised your services on a few occasions and each time has been memorable taking home more than our fair share of fish, but this trip was exceptional.

I have been charter fishing with various parties and skippers but never have I been on an overnighter to Mayor and been home by 1130am with six plus hours of fishing left and chilly bins full of Snapper and Tarakihi, needless to say you had 10 very happy Northpower fisho's.

Cheers to Ben and Wade for their assistance, and for creating a little healthy competition amongst us, and for putting up with Les and his goofy photo poses all good fun mate, what a fantastic trip.

In fishing terms Brett you’re all keepers that more than measure up, look forward to the next trip or ten.

    Kindest Regards
    The Northpower Rotorua Boys

  • Thanks Brett for taking us out yesterday, most had a great day especially Peter who caught the big king fish.
