Nice weather through the week, but turning wet and windy for the weekend

A little déjà vu here, as yet again nice weather through the week, but turning wet and windy for the weekend. However, we managed to get a couple of days in midweek. Still good fishing too, with mainly tarakihi, also some snapper and golden snapper.

Thursday there was a bit more current and more shifting to find the fish, eventually getting onto them with a lot more snapper coming up.

A bit of a surprise really, because they’d dropped off a lot in the last week or two.

Possibly the current that slowed down the tarakihi had the opposite effect with them.

We also saw more perch and pink maomao than normal, maybe for the same reason.

  • Hi Brett,

This was a trip to remember , the company, fishing , and the way we were looked after was second to none . and I have done  a lot of  trips ,

I would like to thank You Brett and your Son Ben  , Ben was an AWESOME deck hand , we didn’t need to do anything but fish  and  no matter where you took us there was fish there ,

The jigging for Kingi’s was un-real most of us have never seen this done , only on TV , but to do  Jigging,   hell yes it was fun.

Once again  Brett thank you and   son Ben for a trip that we will talk about for a long time

This is from the… BPT pig  hunting  Whanau

    Cheers
