Last week was a bit of a nonevent, with enough wind to put off most fishers, including me.
The Met Service has been predicting El Nino conditions for the last year or so, and it looks like it’s finally showed up.
So, quite a lot of strong westerlies which at least means mostly fine weather, just a bit cool for much fishing.
Still, we’re past the shortest day, so we’re heading in the right direction from now on.
Thanks Brett for taking us out yesterday, most had a great day especially Peter who caught the big king fish.

Hi Brett,
This was a trip to remember , the company, fishing , and the way we were looked after was second to none . and I have done a lot of trips ,
I would like to thank You Brett and your Son Ben , Ben was an AWESOME deck hand , we didn’t need to do anything but fish and no matter where you took us there was fish there ,
The jigging for Kingi’s was un-real most of us have never seen this done , only on TV , but to do Jigging, hell yes it was fun.
Once again Brett thank you and son Ben for a trip that we will talk about for a long time
This is from the… BPT pig hunting Whanau
Cheers

Good afternoon Brett,
Thanks for the memorable trip on Tuesday. This was a great experience once again and i have picked up some more tips which i can carry forward, your knowledge is extensive and you don\'t mind passing this on. Not only was the fishing great but i meet new people and have been lucky to share this experience with them. Even Kent the visitor from Australia enjoyed himself and the chilly bins were full of beautiful Terakihi which all the families have enjoyed eating.
I look forward to joining you again very soon on the boat on another trip.
Thanks again till then. Theo
