Another abbreviated week, with just the one day on Tuesday and it was a stinker too. We had a late start, but the forecast was light variable, going 10kn S.W., sounded good.
As we went through the entrance, the water was badly discoloured, looking like a ground swell had picked up since Sunday.
The sign was bad when we got to our 1st marks, the wind was 20+kn and a very sloppy sea. Fishing was a non event , forcing us in behind Motiti where it was just as bad.
Then, the wind dropped away, conditions improved, and we still caught next to no fish. Not one for the archives.
Thanks for a fabulous day on the water. Just ate some great fish and washed it down with nz Pinot.

Hi Daphne
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks to Brett for the great day yesterday. Boys had a heap of fun, especially once over the touch of motion sickness, and were very thrilled to catch some fish. They are in the fridge for a feast tonight!
Hope to get back before too long and do it all again.
Kind Regards
Jo Davis
Dear Daphne and Brett.
I wanted to write to you to acknowledge what a great fishing charter you are running on board the manutere. We have been on numerous trips with you lately, and always returned home with fish, after having a great day out with Brett. We have found Brett to be very knowledgeable, friendly and always keen for a laugh. we have been on many different charters over the years, and the manutere rates very highly.
Ironically, I own my own boat, yet love a day out on the manutere.
Keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing you next time!
Kind regards,
Shane Janssen
