Well, we finally got another midweek trip in. It was a bit much to hope for the weekend as well, and, as per usual, it was too snotty to go.
So, anyway, the fishing was as good as it has been every time we’ve been able to get a day in.
Not too much swell or current and the fish were biting well for most of the time we were out.
Still predominately tarakihi, with a legal kingy and a couple of just unders in the mix as well as a few snapper, red snapper and a couple of trevally.
We’re all hoping that things start to pick up a bit in August, although that’s far from guaranteed.

Hi Brett,
I enjoyed my fishing during my last trip to Tauranga. The fishes caught was really delicious...Taratiki. I couldn't wait to eat them, so, I cooked a few fillets at the Bay Palm Motel where I stayed. I brought the rest back to Perth and my family just loved them.
Just a note that you should be aware of so that you can advise all future Australians who fish with you and want to bring the fishes home. The fishes MUST be headless, gilled and gutted. Remember, must not have heads. I decleared my fishes and the first questions asked was whether I removed the head (which I did) and since my fishes were also gutted and gilled, I could bring in ALL(including the fillets).
Best wishes for the season and happy fishing.
Regards,
Melvin Wee

Hi there my name is Phil,
you took a group of my best mates and I out on Saturday 24th of November 2012 for my stag do.
I couldnt thank Brett and the deckhand enough for such a fun and memorable experience. Even though fishing was supposed to be slow then and some of the guys werent keen fishermen everyone pulled in a few and had an awesome time.
Would highly recommend TMC to my friends and family and will be booking for future trips with you.
Big THANKS from Phillip, Kaye and the boys from Pukekohe.

Hi Daphne
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks to Brett for the great day yesterday. Boys had a heap of fun, especially once over the touch of motion sickness, and were very thrilled to catch some fish. They are in the fridge for a feast tonight!
Hope to get back before too long and do it all again.
Kind Regards
Jo Davis
