Good weather and the fishing's been....fishing

November continues it’s good weather and the fishing’s been…..fishing.

What’s interesting is that we’ve been to spots, around Mayor and Motiti, seen sign and caught nothing, shifted around, still nothing, gone back to the original spot and done really  well . Very hard to explain

Possibly a combination of factors, plenty of food [ krill and plankton] midwater, underwater  turbulence, just not hungry, earthquakes, bananas, global warming, who can be sure.

The warmer water is on the way down though, we’re seeing heaps of jellyfish, already seen 3 sunfish and some pods of dolphin, hopefully the skippies also aren’t too far away.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  • Hi Daphne ,

Please thank Brett for a great trip the other day

We didn’t get on to the Kingi’s on this occasion but we do appreciate the conditions were against us and we know Brett did everything possible . Still, everyone got plenty of fillets to take home and we thoroughly enjoyed the day

You will see us again and we will recommend you

  • Hi there Brett, just a quick thank you for the lovely fishing trip we had today.

Myself my wife and parents had a fantastic time.

It may have been a bit choppy today but luckily my family didn't supply any extra burley and really enjoyed the trip. We have about 2kgs of Terakihi filets in the fridge which we look forward to enjoying tomorrow.

After trying different charter boats I have found Tauranga Marine Charters by far the best.

We really appreciate you helping and guiding my wife and parents who are first time fishers to get set up and get onto some fish.

Looking forward to doing it again sometime.

    Many thanks
    Aaron
