Good day, good sized tarakihi mainly with a few nice snapper

Some good settled weather and calm seas made for a good week.

Mainly worked around Motiti and had generally good fishing. After  a slow day around the  Labe and outside Motiti on Friday we gave Town Pt a go, not having been there since last season, and had a good day, good sized tarakihi mainly with a few nice snapper among them.

Naturally went there Sunday expecting a similar day but overnight things had changed enough that we barely caught a fish, so back outside Motiti where we finally found a few feeding, it actually picked up a bit and ended up quite steady fishing, luckily because it was looking like a total bust for most of the day.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  • Good afternoon Brett,

Thanks for the memorable trip on Tuesday. This was a great experience once again and i have picked up some more tips which i can carry forward, your knowledge is extensive and you don\'t mind passing this on. Not only was the fishing great but i meet new people and have been lucky to share this experience with them. Even Kent the visitor from Australia enjoyed himself and the chilly bins were full of beautiful Terakihi which all the families have enjoyed eating.

I look forward to joining you again very soon on the boat on another trip.

    Thanks again till then. Theo

  • What more can I say but once again simply magic mate, The Northpower Rotorua boy’s head back inland with a bounty of fresh fish and memories worthy of a book.

We have utilised your services on a few occasions and each time has been memorable taking home more than our fair share of fish, but this trip was exceptional.

I have been charter fishing with various parties and skippers but never have I been on an overnighter to Mayor and been home by 1130am with six plus hours of fishing left and chilly bins full of Snapper and Tarakihi, needless to say you had 10 very happy Northpower fisho's.

Cheers to Ben and Wade for their assistance, and for creating a little healthy competition amongst us, and for putting up with Les and his goofy photo poses all good fun mate, what a fantastic trip.

In fishing terms Brett you’re all keepers that more than measure up, look forward to the next trip or ten.

    Kindest Regards
    The Northpower Rotorua Boys

  • Just a quick email to thank you for a nice fishing trip today. Very enjoyable. Weather was kind to us and everyone caught fish.

Hopefully will return to the Mount again next year, in which case I will check you out for another trip.

    Regards
