After a reasonable day on Sunday, we expected Monday to be more of the same, but the forecast was a bit out [!!] and the 30+kn of Southerly changed that.
We went behind Motiti, and after a few misses got onto some good snapper in close. The wind dropped and it ended up calm and a lovely day.
The fishing stayed hard all week, good conditions and better in the deeper water , but slow.
Sunday we tried outside the Mt from 25/55m, uniformly terrible.
Finally tried Pudney, as a last gasp and got enough snapper, tarakihi, and red snapper to save the day, not one for the record books though.

Well, we are all home from a wonderful day out. This is a thank you to all the crew from all of us.
The whanau had a memorable and happy day out on the sea. Everyone caught a fish, so no household went without.
Also, thank you for being so good to our kids - I hope they didn't get in your way too much. But they enjoyed their day and had their own thrills on the boat.
It was a good day - and when our families do this again we’ll definitely be back.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!
Have an awesome and happy year.
Kind Regards,
Dawn A. Whare
