It looks as though the El Nino effect is happening over the Tasman as there was quite a strong SWesterly blowing most of the time we were watching the MotoGP races at Phillip Is.
The racing was great and the guilt factor about being over there and enjoying it rather than looking at the forecast and doing the old ‘what’s it going to be like tomorrow , go or no go?’ was non existent.
October ‘s normally a windy month in any case, whether it’s down to El Nino or not remains to be seen. So back into it this week, refreshed and revitalised, yeah definitely
Hi Daphne ,
Please thank Brett for a great trip the other day
We didn’t get on to the Kingi’s on this occasion but we do appreciate the conditions were against us and we know Brett did everything possible . Still, everyone got plenty of fillets to take home and we thoroughly enjoyed the day
You will see us again and we will recommend you

Hi Daphne
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks to Brett for the great day yesterday. Boys had a heap of fun, especially once over the touch of motion sickness, and were very thrilled to catch some fish. They are in the fridge for a feast tonight!
Hope to get back before too long and do it all again.
Kind Regards

Brett & the Manutere, well i must say that over the last 8 years or more i have been out on day & overnight trips plus the TGA game fishing one base & charter tournaments with Brett, you would be hard pushed to find a better skipper who will do his upmost to put you on the fish !!! & i mean go the extra mile !! literally, always good for a yarn, (fishing, politics, rugby etc etc,) & not forgetting the overnight trips tradditional continental breakfast, beans, eggs, bacon, toast, & a wicked coffee !
The Manutere is a solid fishing platform of which i have spent many enjoyable hours aboard, and hope to spend many more !!!!
Cheers Brett, till next time ! (soon)
