Well, the boat’s still out of the water, and at the rate I’m going it will be for another week or so.
One thing though, it certainly looks like the right time to have pulled it out. august is often a pretty unsettled month and it has all the hallmarks of being another one.
What little fishing that has been done from what I’ve heard hasn’t been that flash either, so let’s hope September springs into life.
Thank you for a great day yesterday. The trip was a surprise getaway for Robs 60th birthday and none of us had done a charter trip before nor can we fish for Terakihi as snapper, trevally and kingfish are target species in the Coromandel.
A most enjoyable day

Tanya

Brett & the Manutere, well i must say that over the last 8 years or more i have been out on day & overnight trips plus the TGA game fishing one base & charter tournaments with Brett, you would be hard pushed to find a better skipper who will do his upmost to put you on the fish !!! & i mean go the extra mile !! literally, always good for a yarn, (fishing, politics, rugby etc etc,) & not forgetting the overnight trips tradditional continental breakfast, beans, eggs, bacon, toast, & a wicked coffee !
The Manutere is a solid fishing platform of which i have spent many enjoyable hours aboard, and hope to spend many more !!!!
Cheers Brett, till next time ! (soon)
