Fishing Reports

Plan your next fishing charter aboard the MV Manutere out of Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, NZ.

Back in the deeper water outside Motiti with quite good results

Another fairly volatile week of weather, but we got a few trips away.

After some good signs that the fish had moved in to the shallower water, it turned out a bit premature, with more slow fishing meaning we ended up back in the deeper water outside Motiti with quite good results. Reasonable amounts of tarakihi and red snapper and some good sized snapper in the mix as well.

Saturday’s forecast looked a bit marginal, but it turned out to be not too bad, although the fishing was a bit slower than the previous days.

Still, not a bad result, and by hometime it had turned into a sunny settled day.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  •

They had a great time and a special thanks to Brett for making the day so enjoyable for them!!! Jordan has not stopped talking about his day out fishing and has been proudly showing the photos of his day to everyone he comes into contact with!! They would love to go out again next year if we return to the BOP if Brett would have them on board again!!

    Regards,
    Lynne.

  • Dear Daphne and Brett.

I wanted to write to you to acknowledge what a great fishing charter you are running on board  the manutere. We have been on numerous  trips with you lately, and always returned home with fish, after having a great day out with Brett. We have found Brett to be very knowledgeable, friendly and always keen for a laugh. we have been on many different charters over the years, and the manutere rates very highly.

Ironically, I own my own boat, yet love a day out on the manutere.

Keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing you next time!

    Kind regards,

    Shane Janssen
