An Easterly current had developed

After a good October, November’s bought a heap of strong West/SW winds, but we’ve been able to get most of our trips in, with enough easing between fronts to sneak them in.

Thursday was good fishing and when it did get breezy we went down the lee side of Motiti, stayed closer to shore and avoided most of it.

Saturday was better conditions, but an Easterly current had developed despite the Westerly wind, making for harder fishing as it got stronger through the day. Not too bad initially though.

Sunday was just a bit too much wind, however.

  • Good afternoon Brett,

Thanks for the memorable trip on Tuesday. This was a great experience once again and i have picked up some more tips which i can carry forward, your knowledge is extensive and you don\'t mind passing this on. Not only was the fishing great but i meet new people and have been lucky to share this experience with them. Even Kent the visitor from Australia enjoyed himself and the chilly bins were full of beautiful Terakihi which all the families have enjoyed eating.

I look forward to joining you again very soon on the boat on another trip.

    Thanks again till then. Theo
