A dolphin watching day

A  great settled start to October and more people thinking about Christmas trips means we’re getting more booking enquiries, which is nice.

We went out to the Labe on Friday, reasonable fishing, but a bit slower than it has been.

Saturday was a cruise day for a stag party, so  no real fishing, a dolphin watching day, quite a few starting to show up now.

Sunday, Motiti seemed worth a go. We stopped at a couple of marks around 40/60m, but found a good school of tarakihi out a bit deeper, and from then to hometime only moved the once, so definitely worth trying somewhere we hadn’t been to for a while.

WHAT OUR FANTASTIC CLIENTS SAY

  • Dear Daphne and Brett.

I wanted to write to you to acknowledge what a great fishing charter you are running on board  the manutere. We have been on numerous  trips with you lately, and always returned home with fish, after having a great day out with Brett. We have found Brett to be very knowledgeable, friendly and always keen for a laugh. we have been on many different charters over the years, and the manutere rates very highly.

Ironically, I own my own boat, yet love a day out on the manutere.

Keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing you next time!

    Kind regards,

    Shane Janssen

  • Hi, Brett,

Just wanted to say, on behalf of the House of Travel Boys , a big thanks to you and your deckie for such a great time.  The boys loved every minute of it, oh, I guess, apart from the few chunderers the first nite.  I know we’ll certainly recommend your charters to others who are interested in a great day out.  The boys got 2 bags of fish each to take home, which was a bonus.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers

    Paul

  • What more can I say but once again simply magic mate, The Northpower Rotorua boy’s head back inland with a bounty of fresh fish and memories worthy of a book.

We have utilised your services on a few occasions and each time has been memorable taking home more than our fair share of fish, but this trip was exceptional.

I have been charter fishing with various parties and skippers but never have I been on an overnighter to Mayor and been home by 1130am with six plus hours of fishing left and chilly bins full of Snapper and Tarakihi, needless to say you had 10 very happy Northpower fisho's.

Cheers to Ben and Wade for their assistance, and for creating a little healthy competition amongst us, and for putting up with Les and his goofy photo poses all good fun mate, what a fantastic trip.

In fishing terms Brett you’re all keepers that more than measure up, look forward to the next trip or ten.

    Kindest Regards
    The Northpower Rotorua Boys
