Another quietish week, we got the Monday in with a group of Aussie fishing fanatics.
We had a reasonable day, although Allen pulled up a 20kg kingie on a ledger rig and a bit of squid, fairly impressive!
We also caught some skippies and had a marlin freejumping around the boat, with a heap of dolphins bopping along; at the end of May.
That’s a bit different.
Saturday was out, but it was ok Sunday, and another good day, the morning joggle settled, the afternoon was calm, and good fishing.

Hi Daphne
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks to Brett for the great day yesterday. Boys had a heap of fun, especially once over the touch of motion sickness, and were very thrilled to catch some fish. They are in the fridge for a feast tonight!
Hope to get back before too long and do it all again.
Kind Regards
Jo Davis
Hi there Brett, just a quick thank you for the lovely fishing trip we had today.
Myself my wife and parents had a fantastic time.
It may have been a bit choppy today but luckily my family didn't supply any extra burley and really enjoyed the trip. We have about 2kgs of Terakihi filets in the fridge which we look forward to enjoying tomorrow.
After trying different charter boats I have found Tauranga Marine Charters by far the best.
We really appreciate you helping and guiding my wife and parents who are first time fishers to get set up and get onto some fish.
Looking forward to doing it again sometime.
Many thanks
Aaron
Good afternoon Brett,
Thanks for the memorable trip on Tuesday. This was a great experience once again and i have picked up some more tips which i can carry forward, your knowledge is extensive and you don\'t mind passing this on. Not only was the fishing great but i meet new people and have been lucky to share this experience with them. Even Kent the visitor from Australia enjoyed himself and the chilly bins were full of beautiful Terakihi which all the families have enjoyed eating.
I look forward to joining you again very soon on the boat on another trip.
Thanks again till then. Theo
